Heater Strip heating band heaters, Ceramic heaters
Inexpensive mica band heaters are best suited for uses involving low to moderate temperatures. Mica Bands also offer a wide variety of termination and clamping styles. Mica bands feature thin construction and high quality insulation for effective heat transfer and excellent dielectric qualities. Band heaters can handle up to 900°F.
APPLICATIONS: Ideally suited for plastics industry applications. Band heaters can be used for heating commodity resins in injection molding machines, extruders and blow molding machines. Other applications can be found in the food and pharmaceutical industries or any situation in which efficient band heating is required. In addition, Mica Bands can be modified to meet the demands of virtually any special application. Our engineers can utilize a variety of alternative features and options to customize the heater to your specific needs.

Available in partial band, reverse band (for application into rolls heating from the inside out), expandable, two pieces, 3 pieces contructions, flat, L-shape, U-shape and conical shape. Dual circuits or zones heating. Dual circuits contains 2 circuits per heater. This type of heater used for special applications where different wattage is required on portion of the mould. Zone heater is similar to dual circuits heater except it can have as many circuits as desired in one heater. Also, band heaters can be made with different clamping type. It can be ordered with barrel nut, flange lockup, wedge lockup, quick released or no clamping. In additions, band heaters can be ordered with different type of exits. It can be made with fiberglass leads, stainless steel braid, post terminals or european plug. Also, it can have holes, notches cutouts to fit any mold.

MATERIAL AND CONSTRUCTION: *Designs consistently offer maximum resistor coverage. *Ends of heaters incorporate folded-in lips to resist contamination. *All bands are accurately rolled to the specified diameter for optimum contact. *Reliable welded internal termination junction whether screw or lead terminals are specified. *A variety of lead protection systems are available to protect against flexing abrasion and contamination. *High quality mica used in all designs. *Stainless steel top and aluminized steel bottom for fast heat transfer. *All stainless steel heaters also available. *Compression spring will help to keep heater tight to barrel to prevent hot spot.

CERAMIC BAND HEATERS: Ceramic band heaters are designed for high temperature applications. The heaters can withstand temperature up to 1400°F. Stainless steel cover to withstand high temperature and ceramic fibre insulation to prevent heat loss. An interlocking ceramic are used for flexibility and good thermal conductivity. High quality nickel chromium wires are used for longer life.
