Stands for computer aided drafting. Many softwares are designed for drafting aid needs. Such as Autocad, Cadkey, Microstation, Mastercam, Catia, just to name a few. With CAD you are able to edit, copy, erase, filing, printing with ease. Furthermore, the files can be transferred electronically via computers and internet download. Also, when comes to 3D, nothing beats CAD. Today, many CAD users used CAD for logo design, building plans, card design, and many more applications. CAM stand for computer aided manufacturing. Most of the software capable of solid modeling. Which means that the drawing can be sent to machines. For example the CNC milling machines, cnc Lathes, cnc laser, cnc grinders, cnc marking machines.
